Everything you need to know
You can enter the rally in any car you like and enter all the challenges. Be aware that certain additions to your vehicle are not tolerated by the police. They do not like removal of bumpers or addition of items on the bonnet like spikes that are not foam for instance. Gun turrets are completely out and so are fake guns. But please do decorate your vehicle if you wish, take a look at the videos on the homepage for inspiration. There is a prize for team in best fancy dress. All drivers and team captains must be over the age of 21 and all team members must be over the age of 14.
We never reveal the route, only the start and finish destination. You will need to find your dedicated Team Leaders when you finish before they are trollied and have your challenges marked before the deadline. Our route is designed to give you the best driving experience, taking you through windy roads, and outstanding scenery. If you simply satnav the route, you will miss all the fun, the enroute challenges, the rest of the ralliers and be in the bar twiddling your thumbs by 3pm. Just saying.
No you don't have to do the challenges but there is not much point coming if you don't. Veteran ralliers will tell you that if you want to get the best out of this challenge, engage with the spirit of the rally. Immerse yourself in a madcap day of messing about in cars, letting go of inhibitions, partying and carpool karaoke. Yep, its a challenge ! Your Team Leaders are there to help and encourage you. And there are prizes !
We would very much like you to. The organisers of Cornball 24 and the Banger Rally Challenge do so voluntarily to raise charity funds. You will be asked at check-in for your charity and how much you have raised to date. It only takes minutes to set up a Just Giving Page. Give yourself a £100 target. Share your story on social media, you'll be amazed how much you can raise. If you do not have a charity then we are offering a donation option at sign-up.
If you are staying for the two nights. The excellent onsite Dinos Clubhouse at Tencreek will be open for dinner on Friday evening. Included in everyone's entry is the party night meal on Saturday which will be a carvery so there will be many options available. Breakfast is also available from 8.30am daily. If you want friends or family to join you for the party but will not be on the rally you can purchase a party and meal ticket only for £20. We would add this is not an event suitable for children under 14.
The overall winning team will win a one of our coveted Piston Trophies. Trophies will be also be awarded to 2nd and 3rd places, Best Fancy Dress and Spirit of the Rally.
Please make sure you are road legal and all lights are working etc. There's nothing more tasty for the police to pull than an aged vehicle smothered in fake grass, a set of balding tyres, rally stickers, containing two blokes wearing only loin clothes.
We are starting and finishing at Tencreek Holiday Park near Looe (NOT Trencreek please note). If you are staying you will need to book and pay for your accommodation directly with the campsite. You will not be able to do this until you have entered and received a team number to make that booking. Full details will be issued and link to book will be given on entry.
